Friday Night With Miranda Lambert & Chris Young

So, first of all, holy crap! My blog has 81 followers! Thank you guys so much! I am ecstatic right now!

Secondly, as you all probably know, I am a huge country music fan! Last night I went to a Miranda Lambert concert with my Aunt and it was fantastic! Chris Young was one of the openers, which was my second time seeing him, and I've gotta tell you: I'm going to marry that boy someday! Jerrod Neimann was the first opener, and he was decent. He didn't seem to have the same energy and "holy crap this is happening to me," enthusiasm, to be honest. Miranda herself was a hoot, and so amazingly talented! She put on quite a show and I swear she could have performed all night long, she was so into it! She told us how she sat next to Lady Gaga at the Grammy's and how she was really very nice, and shared a few funny little stories about her! It really was a fantastic night and I am so glad I went!

A part of my heart became still tonight when I heard the news of Whitney Houston's passing. I remember watching the version of Cinderella with Brandi and Whitney when I was little. Miss Houston had many hit songs that were in the majority of the late 80's and 90's. Within the last few years, the public became aware of her drug and alcohol addictions. The cause of the singer's death has not yet been released. Whitney, you are now among the angels, gracing God's ears with your sweet voice. Rest in peace. You will not be forgotten. Xoxo

Ironically, my shoot was taken in the snow, while Rea's was shot on the beach! Another difference between us that influenced our outfits and settings was where we live. Golden Globe Nail Art

In honor of last night's Golden Globe Awards, here is a DIY for Zooey Deschanel's cute tuxedo nails!

1) You will need: Nailpolish remover (if needed), cotton squares/balls (if needed), clear base coat, clear top coat, white nail polish, and black nailpolish (thin brush if possible).

1.5) Get rid of all chipped nail polish with nail polish remover and those cotton squares/balls.

2) Start with a base coat to protect your nails, then when they dry, paint a coat of white (two if necessary!).

3) Once your nails are dry, paint black tips onto all of your nails.

4) Follow by painting little 'bows' onto each nail. Tip: by doing the bows first, you will be able to see how many 'buttons' will fit underneath, depending on the length of your nails.

5) Lastly, put one to three dots under each bow tie as buttons!

I think they are adorable, but as you can see, my nails are super short! I bite them way too often! The polish isn't perfect either, but this was my first time doing this! --The real trick is to figure out how to paint my other hand!!!

I just received my Jac5 boxers in the mail today! Let me tell you, Ladies, get a pair for yourself! I'm wearing mine right now (above) and they are the most comfortable things ever! I ordered a size small (I'm slim and 5'7") in charcoal, and they are just right! The waist band is not too tight or loose, the length is just perfection, and they are made of 100% cotton! I am going to be wearing these things around the house often! Forget about the men; women deserve a pair of these! For sure j'adore!

Sometimes in life, we need motivation to accomplish our goals. One of my goals for instance, is to work at Free People. I would like to work at the store nearest my house, and then in college, get an internship and ultimately work in the home office, full time. For me, one of my motivations for this dream/goal, is school. I know that if I try my hardest in all of my classes, and get done what I need to, I am that much closer to my dream. Another motivation, is believing in myself. It sounds like a cheesy Disney movie, but it's true. Without it, I really couldn't get anywhere. I know that there will be hurdles in my way at times, and that I will have bad days when I feel like crap, but to get to the good days, I know I have to get through the bad ones. I also know that this is something that I want very, very badly. I feel relaxed and at home when I am in one of the stores or at the home office. Clearly, that's where I want to be. ~Just remember to take everyday step by step and find something of worth in everything. It is possible. Realize what it is that you want to do, whether it is finding a job you love, like me, or saving money for a car!

I have always been fascinated with the 1960's and 1970's and believe I was born in the wrong decade! However, as much as I would have loved to be at Woodstock festival and been apart of it all, not being able to do so creates an ignorance within me, allowing my mind to create the aura of what it was like.

Not only was the music unique to its time, and the clothes super rad, but both still thrive today. It's pretty spectacular that fifty years later, people are still interested and inspired by these two areas of art!

This is a mini dedication to a much simpler time, and hopefully my blog reaches those who are older than the twenty-somethings, and can relive their memories through these pictures!

This is Janis Joplin's Porsche which she painted herself! I saw this last Summer at the Grammy Museum in Hollywood! I just about died when I saw it!

+ 30 THINGS GUYS SHOULD KNOW ABOUT GIRLS: This was written by a guy who has had years of experience. ↘

1. whatever you do, don’t just show up at their house…they run around in their underwear just like we do.
2. don’t cheat on them. it may seem foolproof, but girls tell each other everything about everything. trust me, they will find out and you will be mud.
3. beware of every single male relative and all guy friends. any of them would kick your ass at the drop of a hat, and a lot of them wouldn’t even wait for the damn hat.
4. never miss an opportunity to tell them they’re beautiful.
5. don’t refuse to kiss in front of your friends. if they laugh at you, it’s because they’re jealous.
6. if they slap you hard, you deserved it.
7. don’t be afraid to touch them if you want to. if they’re going out with you in the first place, it’s because they like being in your arms.
8. if you don’t sleep with them, do not tell your friends that you did. 8.5 if you do sleep with them, don’t tell your friends that you did.
9. you can be dirty minded in private, really…most of them are not offended by it…
10. not all of them eat like birds, a lot of them can eat like whales.
11. most of them don’t mind paying half of everything, but they do discuss these things with their friends. realize that if you make your girlfriend pay half all the time, everyone will know about it and your friends will know you’re a pussy..do you honestly need all your money that much? be a man, pay all the time!
12. every girl should eventually get three things from her boyfriend- a stuffed animal, one of his sweatshirts, and a really pretty ring. even if it’s not a serious relationship.
13. make sure she gets home safely as often as you can. if you’re dropping her off, walk her to the door. if you aren’t dropping her off, call to be sure she’s home safely.
14. if a guy is bothering her, it is your right to beat the shit out of him.
15. if you’re talking to a female friend of yours, pull your girlfriend closer.
16. never, ever slap her, even if it’s just in a joking way. even if she swats you first, and says, “oh, you’re so dumb” or something, never make any gestures back.
17. go to a chick flick once in a while. she doesn’t care whether you enjoy it or not, it just matters that you went.
18. you’re dead meat if you can’t get along with their pets, parents, and best friends. be prince charming to their friends, mr. polite to their parents, and make sure to be nice to their animals.
19. don’t flirt with their moms…that’s just freaky.
20. don’t be freaked out by pms. it’s not gross, and it really does make them feel like shit, so be understanding.
21. if you don’t like the way they drive, you do it.
22. if you’re officially dating, and you’re introducing her to your friends, you’d better damn well introduce her as your girlfriend.
23. don’t stress where you go for every date. they really only want to be with you.
24. if they complain that something hurts, rub it for them without being asked.
25. girls are fragile. even if you’re play fighting/wrestling, be very gentle.
26. memorize their god damn birthdays. you forget her birthday and you’re basically screwed for life.
27. don’t marinade the cologne, but smell good.
28. don’t give her something stupid for her birthday or christmas or valentine’s day. it doesn’t have to be expensive, but it has to be meaningful. jewelry is always nice.
29. if you think the relationship isn’t going to last, don’t wait to find out. it will only hurt you more if you draw it out.
30. after you’ve been dating for a while, realize that they really have started to trust you. when you have a girlfriend who truly trusts you, you have a lot more responsibility, privilege and control than you would think. be careful with it, most guys would kill for that kind of power, and it can be lost in a nanosecond.

Keith Urban Concert

So last night, I went to the Keith Urban concert in Philly, and it was AMAZING! My aunt said it was the best concert she's ever been to! We were on the floor, in the second section back. I got to run up to the front next to the stage and I TOUCHED HIM. I touched his boots a few times, his jeans, his hand and his wedding ring! Then when he was running through the crowd later on, I got a hold of his arm! I still cannot believe it! He is my favorite singer of all time! He seemed so nice and went out into the audience a lot. He even had mini stages set up in different places on the floor and the second section. He actually signed a guitar he was playing and gave it to someone! I bought a t-shirt and a poster which I will frame for my new bedroom! :) Oh, and I lost my hearing and voice, but it was oh so totally worth it, for sure! <3 <3 <3

Soft Summer Hair Tutorial

These hairstyles below are best if hair has gone one day or so unwashed, or slightly damp from the shower! Enjoy!

(Above) Twist a 1 inch section of hair and secure with little rubber elastic. Pull all of hair into a pony and flip/tuck hair upwards and fishtail braid. Secure the braid with a little rubber elastic. (Optional): Spray with a strong hold hairspray to avoid humidity. Adorn hair with little flowers down the center of the fishtail braid.

(Above) Separate a front section of hair and pin up. Take the rest of the hair and tease the top with a comb. Gather all of the hair and put into a pony with a thin or rubber elastic. Loosely twist pony into a messy bun and pin random pieces. Finish by taking the end of a rat tail comb and pull thin pieces out to achieve a messy bun. (Optional): Spray with a strong hold hairspray to keep hair in place and to avoid humidity.

(Above and Below)Tease the top of the back section of hair. Twist hair on either side, then pull into a low pony. Separate the pony into two halfs and flip/tuck it between the two parts upwards. Tie the end of the pony with a plastic elastic. (Optional): Spray hair with a strong hold hairspray to avoid humidity. Adorn hair with flower head wreath if desired!
